Engineering Codes
Mahmood Saeed Steel prefers to adhere to the below listed codes, due to their wide usage in the Gulf Countries. It is Mahmood Saeed Steel policy to comply with the issues, supplements or additions of these codes.
Mahmood Saeed Steel follows universally accepted codes of practice in the analysis, design and fabrication of its pre-engineered buildings. The company is familiar with and capable of designing and fabricating in accordance with many accepted international codes, including, but not limited to SAUDI BUILDING CODE (SBC), European Norms (EN), British Standards (BS), Uniform Building Code (UBC) and American Standard Institute (ANSI).
-Metal Buildings Manufacturing Association (MBMA}
This manual is the authoritative guide for the design and manufacture of pre-engineered buildings.
-American Iron and Steel Institute (AISC)
This manual is used to design built-up sections, hot rolled sections and welded plates and for the design of bolted connections.
-American Welding Society (AWS}
This manual is used to design welded connections and establish welding specifications and procedures.
Engineering Output
The Engineering Department produces all of the required documents for the approval, fabrication and erection of MS Steel buildings. The Engineering Department can provide those documents in a printed format or in digital format (computer files), on CD-ROM or via online FTP download upon the customer request.
Engineering output consists of the following: (Approval drawings (optional) - Design calculations - Anchor bolt plans - Erection drawings - Shop details - Bill of materials (BOM).
